TrustMeet Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-01-01 Last Updated: 2025-12-26

TrustMeet (“TrustMeet,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a scheduling platform that helps users meet with confidence, using deposits, punctuality rules, and real-time location verification. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the TrustMeet mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service” or “Services”).

By using TrustMeet, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect four main categories of information.

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account details (such as email address and phone number)
  • Name
  • Birthdate (to confirm eligibility)
  • Profile photo (optional)
  • Profile information you choose to provide
  • Communications with support
  • Preferences related to scheduling and notifications

1.2 Device & Usage Information

  • Device information (device model, OS version)
  • IP address and other device identifiers
  • App version
  • App usage data (screens viewed, taps, buttons used)
  • Log data (diagnostics, crash reports)

1.3 Location Information

If you grant location permission, we may collect precise location during specific meeting windows.

TrustMeet requires access to your location only around the scheduled appointment time for punctuality verification.

We collect:

  • GPS coordinates from your device (only within the check-in window)
  • Approximate distance between users
  • Time of location check

We do not collect continuous background location data outside of meeting windows. You can disable location permissions in your device settings, but this will affect how the Service works (see “Your Choices”).

1.4 Payment & Financial Information

Payments and financial operations are handled by third-party providers (for example, Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe).

Wallet Funds (User-Funded)
When you load Wallet Funds or pay fees, we collect:

  • Partial, tokenized card details (via Stripe)
  • Payment intent IDs
  • Wallet ledger entries
  • Deposit and penalty transactions

Earnings (Penalty Compensation)
When you receive compensation from penalties, we collect:

  • Incoming penalty amounts
  • Associated appointment metadata
  • Payout, gift card, or redemption IDs

We never store full payment card numbers or bank credentials. Card and bank details are processed by Stripe and other payment providers in accordance with their own privacy and security standards (for example, Stripe's PCI‑DSS compliance). TrustMeet is not a bank or financial institution and does not hold your funds as traditional deposits; instead, funds are held and moved through these third‑party processors in order to operate deposits, penalties, and payouts.
