TrustMeet is built on reliability, punctuality, and mutual respect. Our Community Standards ensure that every user can enjoy a positive, safe, and predictable experience. By using the platform, you agree to uphold these standards.
1. Respectful Conduct
Every user deserves to be treated with dignity.
Unacceptable behavior includes:
- Harassment, insults, or personal attacks
- Threats, intimidation, or coercion
- Hate speech targeting race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
- Deliberate humiliation or shaming
Respectful behavior is non-negotiable.
2. Reliability and Punctuality
TrustMeet relies on punctuality to function effectively.
Users must:
- Arrive within the defined grace period
- Check in when prompted
- Use in-app messaging to communicate changes
- Honor the agreed-upon meeting location
Repeated lateness or no-shows may result in penalties, temporary account restrictions, or permanent removal for chronic offenders.
3. Honest Representation
Users must be honest about who they are.
Prohibited:
- Fake photos or misleading profile content
- Impersonating another person
- Creating multiple accounts to manipulate deposits, penalties, or reputation
- Using someone else’s identity or credentials
- Inaccurate representation of availability or intentions
Authenticity maintains trust across the platform.
4. Privacy & Boundaries
Violating someone’s privacy is strictly forbidden.
Prohibited actions:
- Sharing someone’s personal information without permission
- Stalking or monitoring a user outside the app
- Recording or photographing someone without consent
- Pressuring someone to reveal sensitive information
Always respect others’ boundaries.
5. Appropriate Communication
All communication should be respectful and professional.
You may not:
- Send sexual content or unwanted advances
- Spam or advertise services
- Send repeated messages after someone has declined
- Use manipulation, pressure, or guilt tactics
- Engage in offensive or explicit language
If someone asks you to stop contacting them, you must comply immediately.
6. Fair Use of Deposits and Penalties
The deposit and penalty system exists to promote reliability — not exploitation.
Violations include:
- Trying to “farm” penalties
- Intentionally delaying or tricking someone into being late
- Using fake GPS or tools to manipulate check-ins
- Disputing legitimate lateness or no-show penalties
- Refusing to check in to avoid responsibility
TrustMeet may reverse penalties or take disciplinary action when abuse is detected.
7. No Illegal or Dangerous Activities
Users must not engage in:
- Violence or threats
- Drug activity
- Illegal trade or transactions
- Carrying weapons to meetings
- Meeting minors in violation of local laws
- Any activity that endangers another user
Severe violations may result in immediate account termination and notification of authorities.
8. Respect Public Spaces
Meetings often occur in shared public spaces. Please:
- Follow local rules and venue policies
- Keep noise reasonable
- Avoid disturbing others
- Maintain cleanliness and courtesy
Be a positive representative of the TrustMeet community.
9. Zero Tolerance for Fraud or Financial Misconduct
You may not:
- Request off-platform payments
- Ask someone to send money directly
- Sell goods or services outside the intended purpose
- Solicit donations or fundraising
- Use TrustMeet to engage in financial scams
All financial interactions must occur through TrustMeet’s secure system.
10. Reporting and Enforcement
Users should report inappropriate behavior, safety risks, harassment, fraudulent activity, and suspicious profiles.
Possible enforcement actions include:
- Educational warning
- Reversal of penalties
- Temporary suspension
- Restricted account features
- Permanent ban
- Referral to law enforcement (for severe cases)
